What’s Up? Brofist. Birthday. Boom.

Still awake after waking up at 9 PM last night and this (WordPress stuff) is what I’ve been doing aside from watching some YouTube videos and playing useless games all night.

I did some updates on the blog like putting my Instagram on the sidebar and putting recent pictures and stuff. I also deleted some posts that I think are… meh. So, hello newly-updated WordPress. I hope to see you more often, meaning I wish I can find more interesting content to put here and not be a lazy ass.

So, what have I been up to? Nothing much, just the regular work-home-sorta life balance I have with some newly-found distractions in life and one of those useless distractions is YouTube, YouTube stars to be exact. I have been wasting my life away watching YouTubers since the start of February after I saw my sisters watching some Pewdiepie videos on YT. I know they’ve been around for how many years, but then again I haven’t really used YouTube that much aside from watching some music videos and movie trailers so it’s like I’m a kid who’ve just recently discovered the wonders of TV, haha! Speaking of TV, I don’t watch TV anymore because of YouTube. I am such a late bloomer, it’s pathetic.

Aside from YouTube, I’ve watched some movies as well. Cinderella and Kingsman are currently my favorites.

Bonus movie: A Clockwork Orange. I’m still confused on how to react to this movie. I kinda liked it, but not really. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the point of the movie and what it was trying to tell the audience. I hope I can understand it better once I read the source novel.

Also, I have just recently hit the six-month mark of my employment so that means I am now a regular employee at work. Yay! More overtime hours at work, more fun!

Last but definitely not the least, it’s March and that means MY BIRTHDAY! Yay! So excited for it because I’ll be on leave from work and i’ll be able to spend it with my family and the boyfie. ❤

Okay, that’s the end of my random post for now.

P.S: Pardon the title. I typed that while my mind is going into its twilight zone because of sleepiness. So… yeah.

Photo: Feet-ish

I get lazy typing sometimes so i’ll just post photos of things that I really like, photos I see on the net or just photos that reflect my mood since I believe pictures paint a thousand words. 😀

I have this strange obsession with taking pictures of people’s lower extremities. I. Don’t. Know. Why.

We Are Infinite

Let me just say it. I absolutely loved reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower. It was such a heartwarming book. Something I would love to read over and over and over again, which i’m actually doing as of the moment and the movie is equally awesome.

I had doubts when I first came across this book because it was like The Catcher In The Rye and I thought it would just be a rehash of teen angst. Well, I can definitely see the inspiration but Perks has its own charm. One thing I loved about it is that it isn’t that depressing unlike The Catcher in The Rye. Don’t get me wrong though, Catcher is still one of my most favorite books and Holden will always be one of my literary crushes.

While Holden Caulfield is my crush, Charlie is like a baby brother I would love to have and we’ll be best friends forever. There were a lot of times while reading the book where I wish I could hug him. And then I saw the movie. Who wouldn’t want to hug this adorkable freshman and tell him that everything is going to be okay and that I would really, really love to be his friend? No one. Logan Lerman did an amazing job as Charlie.

Emma Watson and Ezra Miller both did an awesome job as well. It was that good for me that I really can’t decide if I like the movie or the book better. I’d say the movie is lighter, omitting some dark stuff from the book like Charlie’s sister [SPOILER] having an abortion and dwelling too much on Charlie’s suicidal tendencies. The purist in me though is screaming at Chbosky for not including those parts, haha!

The music in both the book and the movie is also one of my favorite parts. I’ve listened to “Asleep” before in Sucker Punch and honestly I wasn’t that fond of The Smiths’ version until now.

I just am super in love with this piece of gem. Book or movie, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower is now up there with my other favorites like The Catcher In The Rye.

And with that, I’ll end this post with this quote.

we are who we are for a lot of reasons and maybe we’ll never know most of them. Even if we don’t have the power to choose where we come from, we have the choice where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.

Oh, and this song. “Come On, Eileen”

Happy New Year!

There goes another year and in a few months’ time i’ll be another year older.  *poker face*

Aaanyway, welcome me back WordPress! I haven’t updated you for quite some time now. I just don’t know what to write and I haven’t even the energy or motivation to write a year-end blog. Suffice to say year 2012 had been a challenging year. There were lots of tears and sweat and hardships. Even December 31 was full of hardship because while the whole world was celebrating, I was at work. Sucks big time.

Good thing, January 1 was my Restday so I was able to spend it with my family and January 2 was with my Special One. Photo above was by Ron before going to SM Mall Of Asia.

Here’s me hoping for a more positive, productive and prosperous 2013!

Here Begins The Vanity

trying out the “fashion blogger” style. LOL

how i usually look even at work

mori girl phase

i love full skirts.

My effort in incorporating elements of the Mori fashion to my everyday clothes. It might not look that “mori” but cut me some slack, I can’t afford to layer my clothes and pile up on the cardigans and shawls because of the climate even if I wanted to.

This blog was supposed to have a “daily outfits” section, but then again, i’m not that confident to post vanity pics and I have yet to overcome my shyness when it comes to posing. I always manage to look awkward in every damn picture.

So for now, this is the best I can do.

Consider this a dry run, yes?

My shot at doing a photoblog and, yeah, the title is lame. I”m really no good when it comes to titles. I got the inspiration for the title from Jizue’s music.

Anyhoo, pictures were taken using a 30-year-old Pentax K-2. Talk about vintage, huh? I so love how the photos came out, just look at the grainy effect. So pretty! I’ll certainly take more pictures using a film camera.

How Dreams and Fairytales Sound Like

Jizue. I just discovered them recently through my wavemate from work, Chika. He’s always been a fan of these sort of bands and since I like Japanese bands too, I tried listening to them. I’m actually more on the j-rock genre like Dir en Grey and L’arc-en-Ciel so listening to these kind of bands is new, but variety is what makes life more interesting so I gave it a try. Before Jizue, I listened to Toe and became a fan of Mouse on The Keys. I swear they are awesome bands. Especially Mouse on The Keys.

Above video is Spectres de mouse from Mouse on The Keys. How I wish I can see them perform live. I’ve always loved watching musicians perform live because I really think being able to play a musical instrument is such a badass talent. Or maybe that’s just my frustrated musician self talking, haha! Seriously though, live performances are cool because you’ll get caught up in the emotion and the rawness of the sound of each instrument. I wonder how I’d look if I ever get to attend or see MOTK in the flesh. Playing in front of me. Live. I would probably die of happiness.

The above video is from the band Toe, the first math rock band I got to listen to. Well, I think they’re cool and all that, I just like MOTK more, but I really, really like this particular song. Maybe because it has vocals and the voice is really soothing and ethereal.

Aah. My most favorite of the bunch. Whenever I listen to this song, I feel like i’m listening to a fairytale. Hmm, an inspiration for me. Why not write a story inspired by this song? Well, why not indeed! We’ll see.

Japanese bands rock! I wonder what Japanese parents make their children eat that they produce lots of these kind of music geniuses? I’d really like to know so i’ll know what to feed my kids once I have them.
